Tsallis statistics and generalized uncertainty principle

Abstract It has been argued that non-Gaussian statistics provide a natural framework to investigate semiclassical effects in the context of Planck-scale deformations Heisenberg uncertainty relation. Here we substantiate this point by considering Unruh effect as specific playground. By working realm quantum field theory, reformulate derivation modified from generalized principle (GUP) language nonextensive Tsallis thermostatistics. We find nontrivial monotonic relation between nonextensivity index q and GUP deformation parameter $$\beta $$ β , which generalizes an earlier result obtained mechanics. then extend our analysis black hole thermodynamics. preliminarily discuss outcome broader effective description gravitational physics based on theory.
